KNOXVILLE (WATE) - No charges are expected to be filed against an elderly woman whom deputies say crashed her car into a West Knox County pharmacy.

The Knox County Sheriff's Office says just after noon Friday, Harriet Smith, 87, accidentally stepped on the accelerator instead of the brakes in her Toyota Camry as she was pulling into a handicapped parking space at CVS, 9137 Middlebrook Pike.

She then drove through the glass doors, causing significant damage to the building.

The woman was not injured and no one was in front of the store at the time of the accident.

Officers at the scene said she will not be charged.
