KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee men's basketball coach Donnie Tyndall says reserve center Rawane "Pops" Ndiaye has a torn anterior cruciate ligament and won't play again for the Volunteers.
Tyndall confirmed Friday via text message what was first reported by Knoxville radio station WNML.
Ndiaye, who is listed as 6-foot-10 and 275 pounds, would have been a senior this season.
Ndiaye played one year at Tennessee after arriving from Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa. Ndiaye played 22 games this past season and averaged 0.9 points, 1.0 rebounds and 3.3 minutes.
Ndiaye, who grew up in the Bronx, New York, attended high school at Woodrow Wilson in Dallas, Texas, and prep school at Body of Christ Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina, before going to Indian Hills.
