"At this time, Shoney’s of Knoxville Inc. has no plans to serve beer or wine at any of our 20 locations in 10 East Tennessee counties," said Bill Baugh, President and CEO of Shoney’s of Knoxville, Inc.
Restaurant officials told sister station WKRN-TV that some locations, including those in the Nashville area, will have a revamped fresh menu that includes beer and wine, some locations will even offer a full bar.
"By offering beer, wine, alcohol, fresh food as well, you know, all our meat is fresh now that targets towards the new millennials," said Damon Davoudpour, Director of Marketing for Shoney's.
