2 suspects sought in connection with double shooting in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Knoxville police are searching for two people connected to a double shooting that took place on Saturday afternoon.

KPD officers say they found two men who had been shot just before 4:30 p.m. on University Avenue. According to the two victims; ?Terry Stewart, 51, of Knoxville, Tenn. and Kerry Johnson, 46, of Louisville, Tenn., two black male suspects approached them and demanded money. Both victims ran from the suspects who shot at them while fleeing. Stewart, was found lying on the sidewalk with a broken leg suffered while running. 

Both victims were transported to UT Medical Center. Neither injury was life threatening. Investigators are currently following several leads on the identity of the suspects.
