KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knoxville Division of the FBI and Chief David Rausch of the Knoxville Police Department say they've made an arrest in the robbery of the City Employees Credit Union from last Thursday.

The FBI says the alleged suspect, William Dozier Garland, 45, of Knoxville, entered the City Employees Credit Union, 4426 Western Avenue, around 12:50 p.m. last Thursday. While keeping one hand inside his pocket, he demanded money from bank employees.

He was arrested Monday at Cassell Ridge Apartments in Knoxville around 5 p.m.

He will make his first court appearance on Tuesday in the United States District Court in Knoxville.

Officials say the description of Garland is similar to that wanted in other recent robberies in Knoxville.
