Alcoa man sentenced for attempting to entice a minor in sexual activity online

ALCOA (WATE) - An Alcoa man has been sentenced for attempting to entice a minor in sexual activity online.

James Parker, 47, has been sentenced to serve 10 years in prison.

Investigators said Parker engaged in online chats with undercover officers, and he expressed a desire to have sexual relations with someone he believed to be 12 years old.

He was arrested at an arranged meeting place. As part of the sentence, Parker will be required to register as a sex offender.
