LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WATE) - A Kentucky woman is now facing charges after allegedly leaving her baby in the street.
Louisville police said they got a call from neighbors concerned about a 3-month-old girl lying on the hot pavement about five feet from the curb. Neighbors said they first tried to reason with the mother, but it did no good.
The child's mother, Dunia Abdullahi, has been charged with wanton endangerment and criminal abuse of a child. The baby was checked out of the hospital and is said to be ok.
The child, Zina, was released into her father's custody.
