FedEx plane makes emergency landing in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -

A plane had to make an emergency landing at Nashville International Airport on Wednesday morning.

FedEx Flight No. 1412 landed just before 5 a.m. after reports that smoke filled the cockpit.

Only the pilot and co-pilot were on board. They walked off the MD-10 aircraft uninjured.

FedEx spokesperson Katie Wassmer said the plane was traveling from Memphis to Manchester, New Hampshire.

The incident is under investigation.
