KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Knox County deputies believe a man robbed the same store twice in the last week.

Surveillance pictures from Wednesday show a white man armed with a black semi-automatic pistol going into the Discount Tobacco Store on Tazewell Pike.

Detectives said he robbed the store and took off with money. They believe he robbed the same store on June 25.

The sheriff’s office describes the suspect as a white man with dark hair, approximately 35 to 40 years old, 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-2, and 270 and 280 pounds.

Surveillance photos show he was wearing a white hoodie, camouflage shorts, grey tennis shoes, sunglasses, and an orange bandana covering his face during Wednesday’s robbery. During last week’s robbery, officers said he was wearing a green hoodie, camouflage shorts, grey tennis shoes, and a white bandana covering his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the KCSO Major Crimes Unit at (865) 215-2243.
