JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - One person has been killed and another injured after a fight in eastern Tennessee turned into a shootout.

Johnson City police say Michael Alexis Lee Rowe, 30, died from injuries sustained during the shooting just after 1 a.m. Friday. Officer say Moses Alfonso Ballard Jr., 29, is recovering from non-life threatening injuries and will be charged with second-degree murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

A third person, Tonya Sue Hartley, 24, has been charged with aggravated assault, tampering with evidence and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Officers say Ballard was wounded and fled the scene after dropping his gun. Police say Hartley picked up the weapon and fired shots at Ballard.
