Police searching for stolen headquarters sign

Posted: Updated:

MT. JULIET, Tenn. (AP) - Police in Mt. Juliet want to find out who cut down a brand-new sign that pointed to their headquarters.

Mt. Juliet Police told WTVF-TV in Nashville an employee noticed the banner pole sign was missing on Thursday morning.

The department transferred all operations to the new headquarters last Friday, and the sign was installed that same day.

The new headquarters feature additional offices, a larger evidence storage room, secure armory and additional interview rooms were among the new additions of the new facility.

Anyone needing police services will no longer have to visit the old location at City Hall.

Police are asking anyone with information about the sign to contact officers.
