STRAWBERRY PLAINS (WATE) - A sixth suspect wanted for attempted murder in the brutal gang-related beating of a Briceville late last year was arrested in Jefferson County last week.

Cynthia Ann Wright, 40, faces charges of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated assault, tampering with evidence, accessory after the fact and criminal conspiracy.

She was arrested Thursday, July 3, at her home in Strawberry Plains after an additional indictment was returned in the case. She is being held on $100,000 bond in the Anderson County Detention Center.

The Anderson County Grand Jury returned indictments on six people after a 31-year-old Briceville man was found brutally beaten on Dennis Lane in Claxton in December 2013. Officials believe the man was beaten as a form of internal punishment.

All six people charged are members of the Aryan Nations gang.

The District Attorney General's Office says it will seek enhanced penalties in this case because the defendants are members of a criminal gang.
