KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A man wanted in Detroit, Mich. for assault with intent to murder was arrested in Knoxville Wednesday morning at a home where officers also found a large indoor marijuana grow operation.

U.S. Marshals say Marcus Williams, 33, was wanted for assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.

An investigation by Deputy U.S. Marshals and Task Force officers from Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Union County Sheriff’s Office, and the Knoxville Police Department led them to a home on Eldridge Road in Knoxville.

"I'm very surprised all this has happened. It's kind of shocking because it's a really good neighborhood," said neighbor Whitney White.

Three other men from Detroit were also arrested and charged in connection with the large indoor marijuana grow operation: Dwayne Toland, 25, Demetrius Green, 24, and Ladonte Harris Paige, 28.

Neighbors on Eldridge Road say they had their suspicions about the home.

"When we see a neighborhood or a house where people are coming and going all the time, I get suspicious," said neighbor Arlie Church.

With four people being arrested Wednesday, neighbors say it's a reminder crime has no address.

"It doesn't need to be around here or in our neighborhood period," added White.

Williams is now at the Knox County Detention Facility. His extradition to Michigan will wait until he answers any local charges stemming from the indoor marijuana grow operation.
