Firefighters respond to two fires in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Fire erupted from a west Knoxville home Friday evening.

Dispatchers say a call came in shortly before 10:30 p.m. for a reported house fire in the 5600 block of Walden Drive in West Knoxville.

Firefighters arrived on scene within three minutes and noticed flames showing on the single story home.

Firefighters say the home's renters were not there at the time of the fire.

Firefighters also responded to a fire in the 200 block of West Emerald Avenue in North Knoxville at 11:30 p.m.

Officials say when crews arrived, flames were seen on the front door and the porch.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of both fires are under investigation.
