KNOXVILLE (WATE) - An argument between two men escalated to a stabbing in South Knoxville early Monday morning.

The Knoxville Police Department says the call came in around 4 a.m. from the 6300 block of Sevierville Pike.

Police say Adam Wilburn, 35, and Donald Boots, 50, who live next to each other had been drinking and arguing all day, and that's when Boots stabbed the Wilburn.

Wilburn was several injuries to his torso and was taken to the hospital for treatment, but he's expected to be okay.

Boots attempted to run from the scene, but was located in the woods by a K-9 and his handler.

Boots has been charged with aggravated assault and is being held on $20,000 bond.
