TWENTYNINE PALMS, Cali. (WATE) - More than two weeks have passed since a pregnant woman went missing in California.

A witness said he saw the young wife right before she disappeared. Erin Corwin was last seen June 28.

Her husband, Corporal Jonathan Corwin told investigators she failed to return from a day trip to Joshua Tree National Park. She's three months pregnant.

According to TV station KFMB, a witness said he saw Corwin rendezvous with a man that morning she was reported missing. He said she left her car, locked it and then got inside the man's red compact sedan before the two drove off.

"They were just sitting and chatting. If she wanted to get out of the car and say, 'I don't want to be in this car,' she could have," said Michael Beasley, the witness.

Beasley said she did not seem to be in distress.

Corwin's disappearance has been labeled suspicious by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. Deputies have not said it was the result of foul play.

No persons of interest or suspects have been named.
