New record low set in Knoxville on Thursday morning, afternoon brings sunshine

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - We set a new record low for this date in history! We made it to 57 as of 5am in Knoxville, and the old record was 59 set in 1945. The rest of the afternoon brings sunshine with highs in the low 80s.

Clouds thicken up tonight with a low of 63.

Rain returns on Friday. It’s a 40% coverage during the mid-day. Rain coverage goes up to 70% by Saturday. Sunday will be drier with only pop-up storms.
