CLINTON (WATE) - A well-known camel in East Tennessee is set to make an appearance at the Anderson County Fair on Friday.

Carl was quarantined in June after he got sick with a mystery illness. But now, The Little Ponderosa Zoo says the camel is stable and eating well.

The zoo says Carl misses his fans, so he will be greeting people at the fair on Friday. This will be his first public appearance since May 29.

The Little Ponderosa Zoo says there will be a donation box available with Carl if you want to help pay for his medical expenses. You can also make donations online.
