FL teen helps deliver newborn stingray twins

PONCE DE LEON PARK, FL -

A teenager went finishing for sharks near Ponce De Leon Park when he reeled in a stingray that was about to give birth, WINK reported. The teen helped the stingray deliver the babies with the cellphone camera rolling.

Calvin Conger told WINK he and his friends and family were bummed about the catch first and were going to use the stingray as bait. But then they noticed another small stingray hanging out of it, according to WINK.

Conger's dad pressed slightly on the mother ray helping get the babies out. The fishermen let the stingray family go.

"I can put it on my resume that I helped deliver a stingray," Calvin Conger told WINK.

The birth was caught on video and uploaded to YouTube.
