SEVIERVILLE (WATE) - Two adults and a juvenile were injured in a crash Thursday morning on Interstate 40 in Sevierville.

Police say the three were traveling eastbound near mile marker 407 around 7:11 a.m. in a rental truck with  their personal vehicle in tow.

The driver later told officers the sun was in her eyes and she struck a barrier at the exit.

As a result, the vehicle in tow came loose and flipped over.

The eastbound lanes of I-40 were temporarily shut down.

The driver and her passengers had minor injuries and were taken to LeConte Medical Center.
