KNOXVILLE (WATE) - A Knox County Sheriff's Office bailiff used his taser on a man Thursday morning on a man who refused to leave the courtroom and kicked another bailiff during a hearing in Criminal Court.

The sheriff's office says Ricky Davis, 46, whose son was in custody in the courtroom, became belligerent, shouting and cursing, and refused to leave.

He struggled with a bailiff and kicked him.

Another bailiff then used his taser on Davis and took him into custody.

Davis was not injured and will be charged with assault on an officer and resisting arrest. Steele did not require medical treatment.

Davis is out on bond as of Thursday evening.
