MOORESBURG (WATE) - The Hawkins County Sheriff's Office is asking for help in identifying a suspect they say stole several items from an auto repair shop in Mooresburg earlier this week.

The suspect is described as a white man around 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing approximately 160 to 190 pounds. He had dark hair and a goatee with mustache. He was wearing brown shorts, some type of sports jersey with the number 11 on it, and tennis shoes.

The suspect entered Clint Rutherford Auto Repair Shop, 10217 Highway 11W, around 6:23 a.m. on July 14. Deputies say he took various tools and electronic equipment from around the outside of the business.

Deputies say he then left, but returned around 6:46 a.m. and took a diamond plated metal tool box.

The suspect was driving a white early 2000s model Chevrolet Blazer with a missing center cap on the driver's side front wheel.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hawkins County Sheriff's Office at (423) 272-4848.
