Rain amounts to increase in Knoxville over the weekend

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Low pressure to the south of Knoxville will continue to pull moisture into East Tennessee this evening. 

Rain amounts will increase tonight through Saturday afternoon. We should start to see some breaks in the rain late Saturday followed by scattered rain and thunder chances on Sunday. 

Sunday still looks much drier than Saturday. Rain amounts could range from one to three inches across the area by late Saturday. 

Hit and miss storms are possible Sunday through early next week with more typical July pattern setting in across the board.
