It has been a water logged couple of days across the region with many 2”+ rainfall totals being reported. The rain should be a little spottier in nature overnight with some areas of fog possible towards daybreak. It will be warmer and a little more humid on Sunday as highs climb back into the 80s under a mix of clouds and some sunshine. These breaks in the clouds should help the atmosphere to become more unstable, which will lead to some scattered showers/storms around through the afternoon and evening hours. The rain opportunities will go down and the heat and humidity will go up as we start out the work week, giving it a more Summer-like feel. Another cold front looks poised to move through the area by Thursday, which means the opportunity for showers and storms looks more likely. If the front clears the area late Thursday, it should be drier and slightly less humid as we wrap up the work week.
