CLINTON (WATE) - Clinton police are asking for help in identifying several pieces of jewelry recovered from a burglary suspect's home.

Clinton Police Department Assistant Chief Vaughn Becker says while searching a home in Knoxville, detectives found stolen property from at least two recent Clinton burglaries.

They say they have also found a large amount of jewelry taken in other burglaries.

The suspect, Victor Allen Webb, 26, of Georgia, was captured Friday after a police chase that started in Clinton and ended between Oak Ridge and Oliver Springs.

Georgia Fulton is one of the Clinton burglary victims. She says about $20,000 of jewelry was stolen from her bedroom.

"In a million years, I would have never expected it to happen."

Clinton police say Webb broke through Fulton's backdoor during the day when no one was home. He left cash and other valuables, like electronics, but took priceless pieces of jewelry that still haven't been found.

"Those crosses were a part of me and my family. I really want them back," Fulton said.

"This suspect was clean cut. He's a young guy, wore nice clothes, khakis, long sleeved shirt buttoned down, driving a nice vehicle. So when he's in these neighborhoods he didn't stand out as much as somebody maybe in an old beat up car," said Vaughn Becker, with the Clinton Police Department.

"I hope that he'll be able to turn his life around. I know he has family that's probably hurt like we are. I just want my things back so we can move on," Fulton said.

Webb is charged with aggravated burglary, driving on a suspended or revoked license, reckless driving, evading arrest and reckless endangerment. He was also wanted on a number of charged in Georgia.

Anyone who has been a victim of a burglary or theft that occurred at his or her home in the daytime during the past few months should contact local police or CPD Detective Jason Lawson at (865) 457-3112.

The Clinton Police Department has provided a large amount of photos showing the recovered items. If you recognize any of them and believe they may belong to you, contact CPD and file a report.
