Scattered showers, storms possible this weekend in East Tennessee

6 Storm Team Chief Meteorologist

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - Little change is expected in our weather pattern although a few scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible each afternoon, especially over the higher terrain.

Rain chances look to decrease as a stalled out front will hang along the Gulf Coast and stretch through the Carolinas to start the weekend. Temperatures climb to levels near 90 degrees by the middle of next week. This would get us back to a more “typical” simmer pattern for early August.

TONIGHT: Slim Chance: 64°

SATURDAY: A Few Scattered Storms: 85°

SATURDAY NIGHT: A Few Clouds: 65°

SUNDAY: Hit & Miss Storms : 86°

MONDAY: Mainly Dry: 87°
