Labor Day weekend stats show no fatalities for Knox County Sheriff's Office

KNOXVILLE (WATE) - The Knox County Sheriff's Office released their traffic statistics Tuesday for the Labor Day weekend.

KCSO says there were no fatalities over the weekend, with only three wrecks that resulted in injury.

The Labor Day holiday was dubbed a "no refusal" weekend, meaning any drivers suspected of driving impaired were not allowed to refuse a blood test.

Officers made 15 arrests for DUI and issued 432 citations for a variety of other offenses.

The count began Friday night at 6 p.m. and continued through Tuesday at 6 a.m.
