Cream Scones with Yogurt and Fresh Fruit

2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tbs sugar
1/2 tsp salt
4 tbs softened butter
2 eggs, well beaten
1/2 cup cream or half and half

Mix dry ingredients together. Work butter into the dry ingredients with hands or a pastry blender, until mixture is almost like cornmeal. Add eggs and cream, mixing until blended. Bake in a 400-425 degree oven for 12-15 minutes. Makes 10-14 scones.

Yogurt and Fruit Ingredients:
1 cup plain yogurt
1/2 cup blackberries
1/2 cup strawberries
1/2 cup pears or apples (lg dice)
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup blackerrry liquor, brandy or wine (optional)
