Strawberry Pancakes with Blackberry Syrup

Ingredients:
1/4 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup milk
2 tbs melted butter
1 egg
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 1/2 tbs sugar
3/4 cup sliced strawberries

Preparation:
Beat milk, butter and egg lightly. In another bowl, combine all dry ingredients, and add to the wet ingredients all at once. Just before measuring the mixture into the pan, add the strawberries. Butter the griddle or pan lightly and pour 1/4 cup of the pancake mixture onto the pan. Cook the first side until you see bubbles, then flip and cook on the other side until golden brown.

Blackberry Syrup Ingredients and Preparation:
In a small sauce pan, combine 1 cup berries, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 tbs dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup water and 1 tbs Vanilla extract. Boil and reduce by aout 1/4. Cool and pour over pancakes.
