Son-in-law charged in Andersonville woman's murder

May 3, 2007

CLINTON (WATE/AP) -- The son-in-law of an Andersonville woman found bludgeoned to death in her home has been charged in her murder.

Robert Edward Fritts was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in the death of Teresa Anne Busler.

Busler's husband found her body in a bedroom of their home on March 6 and authorities were at first baffled by the crime.

Jail inmates searched roadside ditches for evidence, and a TBI violent crime response team spent hours processing the house for forensic evidence.

Busler, her husband and her daughter were living at the home, but authorities would not say whether Fritts also lived there.

However, a 6 News report on the murder said Busler's daughter and son-in-law had moved in a few months earlier.
