WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WATE/AP) -- State police say an Andersonville, Tennessee man has been charged with DUI and murder after an I-75 traffic crash that killed a pregnant woman and her unborn child.

Officers say Raymond Garner, 45, was driving a north-bound pickup that crossed the median and struck three vehicles in the southbound lanes just north of the Kentucky-Tennessee border at Williamsburg Monday night.

The identities of the victims have not been released yet.

Garner was charged with three counts of murder, drunken driving and driving on a suspended license.

State police say one murder count stemmed from the death of the unborn child.

The three vehicles that were struck were carrying at least 14 people, including several youngsters. The injured were taken to hospitals in Kentucky and Tennessee.

This wasn't Garner's first DUI. The Tennessee Department of Safety says that came in March.

His license was revoked until May 2008.

Tennessee officials say Garner is just a small part of a much bigger problem. In just two years, 440,000 drivers have had their licenses suspended, revoked or canceled.

More than 72,000 of those people were caught and convicted of driving when they shouldn't have.

Garner is being held without bond in the Whitley County, Kentucky jail. His arraignment is scheduled for Thursday.
