July 17, 2007

JAMESTOWN (WATE) -- Former Fentress County Deputy Brock Rains was indicted Monday on charges of having child pornography on his computers.

Rains is out of jail on bond and due in court on August 6.

The Fentress County Sheriff's Department says Rains was dismissed several months ago.

Rains was suspended in February when the sheriff's department and the TBI began investigating claims that he received pornography on his personal and work computers.

The TBI presented the case against Rains to a grand jury last week. The indictments were handed down Monday.

Rains previously worked for the Jamestown Police Department.
