DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Authorities have issued a second-degree murder warrant for a man who confessed to fatally attacking a Biketoberfest tourist from Morristown at a hotel.

Texas authorities arrested Jason Bowman during a routine traffic stop in Texas last week. He later told police of his role in the attack during a videotaped confession.

A murder charge was added Friday.

Authorities said Bowman and William McMinn fatally beat Tennessee resident James Earl Mason with beer bottles in his hotel room and robbed him.

Mason died five days later at the hospital.

Mason's family said he befriended a man at the hotel and later visited his room with cigarettes and beer. His mother found him in a pool of blood in Bowman's hotel room.

McMinn was arrested Friday on a burglary warrant in Tennessee. He also confessed to the killing.

It was unclear when the two would be extradited to Florida to face charges.
