Former teacher charged with manufacturing drugs

CLAIBORNE COUNTY (WATE) -- A former Campbell County teacher is out on bond after being arraigned on charges of manufacturing drugs.

Steven Pebley, a 35 year veteran of the Campbell County school system, was arrested Friday along with Charlisa Monday, Jody Phillips, and Sharon Owens in a Claiborne County meth bust.

All four in court were for their arraignment Saturday morning.

Their bond was set at $10,000 each. Pebley was the only one who posted bond.

Pebley is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine at the residence he was living at on Owen Lane. Pebley does not own the home, but it appears he was renting it.

Pebley also works at WLAF, a Christian radio station located in La Follette.

All will be back on court on November 29th to set a trial date for a preliminary hearing.
