On Friday night Maryville, Fulton and Alcoa punched their ticket to Murfreesboro.  Just like last season.

In Class 4A the Maryville Rebels beat Sullivan South 48-21.  The Rebels will face Maplewood on Saturday, December 8th.  If they win, it would be their 60th straight victory, and their 4th straight state championship.

In Class 3A the Fulton Falcons win on the road at Pearl-Cohn 44-16, and will play David Lipscomb on Saturday, December 8th.

In Class 2A the Alcoa Tornadoes shutout DCA 38-0, and will face Goodpasture for the championship on Friday, December 7th.  Like their Blount County rivals from Maryville, the Tornadoes are trying to win their 4th straight state championship.

In Class 5A the Bearden Bulldogs come up just short in their attempt to join those other 3 East Tennessee squads.  The Bulldogs lose tonight at Smyrna 17-14.
