CROSSVILLE (WATE) -- A trip to Cumberland County on the Cumberland Plateau will satisfy outdoor lovers and patrons of the arts.

Cumberland County is the golfing capital of Tennessee. Crossville boasts that its claim to golfing fame is the number of courses.

Eight courses on the Plateau make up the Tennessee Golf Trail, designed by golfing great Jack Nicklaus.

There are more than 200 holes golfers can play on the Cumberland Plateau.

For those who aren't into the great outdoors, how about a tour of Stonehaus Winery, one of the most popular in the state.

"Our best seller, which is our muscadine, is God's gift to the sunny South. We've got a blackberry that is jam in the glass. We've got a Tennessee Orange Squeeze. We've got something for everyone and that's the idea here. Anyone that steps to our tasting bar is probably going to find something that they like," says sales manager Rob Ramsey.

Stonehaus offers tours so visitors can see how local growers harvest and yield the very popular beverage in the Volunteer state.

To wrap up your trip, take in a show at Crossville's Cumberland County Playhouse.

For no more than $30, you can take in a play or musical.

The 6 News crew traveled 132 miles for this trip, leaving more than half a tank of gas to return to Knoxville.
