Wrinkles are a natural sign of our bodies aging. As we age, our bodies decrease and stop the production of collagen and elastin which maintains our skin tone. Some wrinkles are hereditary, but some wrinkles appear on our bodies where sun exposure is the greatest. Sun exposure and smoking are two risk factors which can be controlled to reduce wrinkles. Wrinkles can be fine lines or deep lines. Skin care products can be used to effectively smooth fine lines; the deeper wrinkles usually have to be treated with injectables such as Botox or dermal fillers. It is very important to protect the skin by using sunscreen daily to block UVA rays along with good skin care products to have youthful healthy skin.
