
Don Hudson joined WATE 6 in June 2022. He anchors of the 4 to 5 p.m. newscast, the 5:30 p.m. and the 11 p.m. newscasts each weekday on WATE 6 On Your Side.
Don was born in Everett, Washington. He has worked in television news for 30 years and has earned numerous anchoring and reporting awards for breaking news coverage, investigations and community service stories. Don also covered 9/11 while working in Washington, D.C.
Don and his wife Wendy have three adult sons, two daughters-in-law and two grandsons — with another on the way.
Don’s career began in Tyler, Texas and included stops in Kentucky, Utah, New York, Nevada, Washington, D.C. and a few other states. While in Kentucky, Don and his wife had a small business in Knoxville and are glad to be in East Tennessee.
