Lexi Spivak is the Morning Anchor for Good Morning Tennessee on Saturday and Sunday mornings, alongside Blake Stevens. She started working for WATE 6 On Your Side in June of 2021.
Lexi comes to East Tennessee from the Ozarks, where she was the Alert Center Anchor and a Multimedia Journalist for KY3 and KSPR News. She had worked there since December of 2016. During her time in Springfield, Missouri she was nominated for an Emmy for her work covering the tragic Duck Boat crash on Table Rock Lake in the summer of 2018.
Before her time in Southwest Missouri, Lexi started her broadcast career in Spokane, Washington as the Morning Producer & Coordinator and Morning Traffic Reporter for KREM 2 News.
She graduated from the Missouri School of Journalism. She reported, anchored, and produced for KOMU 8 News during her time in Columbia. While attending the University of Missouri, Lexi was also a member and captain of the University of Missouri Women’s Swim and Dive Team from 2010 to 2014. She says she is excited to be back in an SEC city and embrace ‘Rocky Top’ … when the Vols are not playing the Tigers.
Lexi and her husband, Drew, are very excited to start this next chapter of their lives in East Tennessee. They are ready to trade in the Ozark Mountains for the Smoky Mountains and explore as much as they can!
She cannot wait to meet WATE′s loyal viewers and hear about the issues that matter to them. In addition to working on Good Morning Tennessee, you can also find her reporting Monday through Wednesday.
