The Tennessee Valley Coalition for the Homeless is hosting its annual Empty Bowls event this Friday to help those struggling with hunger and veteran homelessness in East Tennessee.
Attendees can select and take home a handmade pottery bowl by Mighty Mud and sample signature soups, slices of bread and desserts donated by local restaurants.
All of the proceeds will go toward ending veteran homelessness. The organization says there are 24 veterans living on the streets in East Tennessee and the goal is to have them all moved into housing by June 30.
The event is Friday, February 22, at 6 p.m. at the Clinton Community Center, 101 S. Hicks Street in Clinton. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased online.
