The Gatlinburg Police Department is accepting applications for police officers.
All applicants must meet specific requirements.
There is an eight step process when it comes to applying for the job. These steps include passing a physical agility test, background verification, written test, and a personal, assessment.
All applications must be turned in by Tuesday, July 3, by 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1230 East Parkway, Gatlinburg.
After turning in the application, applicants will complete the physical agility test on Tuesday, July 10, at Mills Park. Registration will be at 8:40 a.m. and the test will begin at 9:00 a.m.
The current starting pay for a police officer is $28,809, and newly sworn in officers advance to $37,680.
