Get ready for the 2019 Knox St. Patrick’s Day Parade & ‘Cel-O’bragh-tion’

Get ready, East Tennessee – St. Patrick’s Day is approaching and Knoxville is planning a big “cel-O’bragh-tion.”

Knox St. Patrick’s Day Parade organizer Christy Watkins stopped by the WATE 6 On Your Side newsroom studio to talk more about the parade and what visitors can expect.

“The ‘Cel-O’bragh-tion’ is a two-day festival in Krutch Park,” Watkins says. “…includes live music, food, entertainment, and libations.”

All proceeds from the event benefit Catholic Charities of East Tennessee.

The parade “cel-O’bragh-tion” kicks off Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. then continues Saturday, March 16 at 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. in Downtown Knoxville on Gay Street.

WATE 6 On Your Side is a proud sponsor and Anchor Kristin Farley is honored to emcee the event.
