Knoxville church helping feed hungry with food truck

Overcoming Believers Church is helping feed the hungry in Knoxville.

They’re hosting a free “love thy neighbor” food pantry truck outside their building at 211 Harriet Tubman Street. OBC gives out free food to anyone who needs it, no questions asked.

“I think it’s very important because you have a lot of people that are on fixed income and then have food stamps but don’t have much in food stamps and the food don’t go a long way if you don’t have much money or food stamps, said Jeffrey Sligh of Overcoming Believer’s Church. “So it’s very important for these people to get this.”

Overcoming Believers Church says they’ll host this food truck every Tuesday with church volunteers on site to distribute the food.

Simply go to the west entrance on Bell Street every Tuesday at 1 p.m.
