March For Babies and save lives


You can help more babies have healthy births and maybe help out your own health by getting a little exercise in the process if you participate in this year’s March For Babies. 

Rhonda Campbell-Clay from March of Dimes, and Regina Black, an ambassador for this year’s March for Babies, stopped by the WATE 6 On Your Side studios to share more about the March of Dimes’ March For Babies campaign.

March For Babies is a 2-mile walk. The event is happening on Saturday, May 4 at Zoo Knoxville. Registration starts at 8 a.m. You can register and walk day of; plus, if you raise $100 for the walk, you get a free walk T-shirt.

March of Dimes hopes to raise $100,000 at this year’s event. The money raised goes to expand programs and educate medical professionals to make sure that moms and babies get the best possible care. It is the organization’s goal to support moms through every stage of the pregnancy journey, especially in times of unplanned complications.
