KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – (WATE) The 8th Annual Tennessee Winter Beer Fest is returning to Townsend, at the Carriage House Restaurant on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019 at 3:00-8:00 p.m.
The Tennessee Winter Beer Fest started in 2011 with the mission to support the regional craft beer culture surrounding East Tennessee by hosting exclusive events while benefiting local charities. Since the idea was brought to life, it has raised $99,000 to support the New Hope Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center.
Tickets include commemorative glass, beer and dinner catered from Miss Lily’s, and a silent auction. Attendees can also expect to sample an unlimited amount of all the featured brews, music by Appalachian Surf Team and HighFive-FistBump, and socializing with local and regional brewers and overall, a great time. The New Hope Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center, founded in 2003, is a safe and kid-friendly place for children who have been affected by sexual and physical abuse or trauma. Child victims and their non-offending family members are provided with services necessary for healing within a supportive environment. The center also provides a place for the District Attorney, Department of Children’s Services, Law Enforcement, and medical personnel come together to collaborate and offer services.
