KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — We all want that perfect photo for annual holiday cards.
Amanda Swanson is a full time photographer based in Knoxville and works with all kinds of people. From cosplay photography, work to weddings, she’s been a professional photographer since 2016 and currently teach photography at Pellissippi State in Hardin Valley.
The professional photographer has five tips to creating that perfect holiday card, and maybe it’ll be the best one you have made yet!
Tip #1: Choose a spot that you and your family will love whether it be at a barn, Tree Farm, or even in your own home with sentimental Christmas decor. The setting is the first key choice to make.
Tip# 2: Choose outfits with colors and looks that work together or don’t clash against each other. This will enhance your photos even more since these are pictures you are going to want all to see and to place on their fridges or Christmas trees!
Tip #3: Bring props! Whether it be Christmas Hats, fake snow, Christmas lights, bring what you would like to make the pictures stand out.
Tip #4: Enjoy getting posed photos as well as getting in the moment shots that are aimed to show the love you have for you and your family.
Tip #5: Have fun and show off your family’s personality! Be silly, cheesy, make it themed, have Santa attend, make it look like it’s a setup on the Night Before Christmas, make it look like your dogs are Santa’s elves, have all the fun you want!
