Kim Wilcox, owner of It’s All So Yummy Cafe, shared this gourmet grilled cheese recipe in the Living East Tennessee kitchen.
Gourmet Grilled Cheese
- Sourdough bread
- Melted butter
- Provolone cheese slices
- Sliced ham
- Pumpkin butter
- Goat cheese- room temp
- Chopped pecans
Prep- with an electric mixer, beat the goat cheese until smooth. Add in about 1/4 cup of honey and mix until smooth
Heat electric griddle to 350.
Take one side of bread and butter , place butter side down on the grill and put the provolone cheese on the bread. Take your pumpkin butter and spread it over the cheese. Take the other piece of bread and butter one side and put butter side down on the grill. Take your honey goat cheese mixture and cover that piece of bread.
While the bread is on the grill put your ham on the grill and let it warm up.
When the ham is warm, place the ham on the pumpkin butter side. Sprinkle the chopped pecans on top of the ham.
Now place the goat cheese bread on top the the ham piece.
Remove from the grill and garnish with chopped pecans!
