Birthplace/Hometown: Mandeville, Louisiana (just outside of New Orleans)
Education: Louisiana State University Manship School of Mass Communication
Previous Media Experience: I spent two years reporting at WJHL, our sister station in the Tri-Cities, so I’ve been happily calling East Tennessee home for quite some time now. In college, I worked nights and weekends as a Desk Assistant at WWL in New Orleans. Before that, I interned at television news stations in both New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Outside Interests/Hobbies: I’m a self-proclaimed “news junkie,” and when I’m not at work, I’m often reading, watching or talking about the news. It’s also a big priority of mine to keep in touch with family and friends, and I could spend hours talking on the phone with them. Other things I enjoy include cooking and baking, reading, running and traveling.
What I Enjoy About Local News: I love telling stories, and I’ll always be thankful to you – the viewers – for allowing me to tell your own stories. You let me experience and share some of your most fragile heartbreak, your most joyous milestones and your most treasured memories. That is a responsibility I don’t take lightly.
