2 arrested after drugs, paraphernalia found at North Knoxville home

KNOXVILLE (WATE) – Two men were arrested Monday night on various charges after Knoxville police issued a search warrant at a home in North Knoxville, finding numerous drugs and items of drug paraphernalia.

Members of the Knoxville Police Department Repeat Offender Squad searched the home on Brown Avenue and immediately took resident Justin Deel, 34, into custody on an outstanding warrant for DUI.

A large amount of drug paraphernalia was recovered including hypodermic needles, marijuana pipes, snorting straws and spoons. Officers also found marijuana and several packs of what’s believed to be heroin. The packs were sent to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation for analysis.

Police recovered an ankle bracelet Deel was wearing to monitor alcohol consumption while out on pre-trial. Additional charges are pending. He is being held without bond.

Deyvon Stewart, 19, was also arrested and charged with simple possession, violation of drug free zone and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on $26,000 bond.
