3 goats, pony make 30-minute escape in Tennessee

MT. JULIET (WKRN) – Here we goat again… Three goats and a pony escaped a Mt. Juliet home on Sunday, leading police on a short-lived but hopefully wild chase.

Police alerted the public on Twitter around 6:30 p.m., asking anyone who saw the loose animals to call authorities.Related:Tennessee police apprehend rogue chicken

Luckily, the runaway goats and pony were found not far from their home, which is on Greystone Road, about 10 minutes later.

Mt. Juliet police said officers were working to corral them, probably thinking, “I goat this.”

Eventually, they were able to wrangle the animals and help them get back home around 7 p.m.

It’s definitely not the first time Middle Tennessee police departments have helped catch rogue farm animals.

Just last week, officers in Franklin caught a chicken running amok in the downtown area.

And none of us can forget the “aggressive” donkey that ran loose in Mt. Juliet last September. Turned out Clarence got a little bit too excited when a new female was brought home.
